Krassimir Kanev is the chairman of the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee. With a background and PhD in philosophy, he has taught aesthetics, sociology, history of political ideologies and international human rights advocacy at various universities in Bulgaria and overseas. Mr Kanev has authored and co-authored several books and has multiple publications on subjects like philosophy, sociology and international human rights law. He actively represents appellants in lawsuits before the European Court of Human Rights and the UN Human Rights Committee.
