Diary Of A Pandemic
Juliana Tekova works and lives in Sofia. Her background is Romanian philology at St. Kliment Okhridski Sofia University and a master’s degree in painting from the National Arts Academy. Her doctoral dissertation is on the innovations in the expressive language of Bulgarian painting after 1990. Tekova’s research focuses on contemporary art, particularly on female artists after 1990. Tekova’s work mostly represents contemporary painting, drawing, and photography. She has participated in exhibitions in the country and overseas. Her project Breathe it, Eat it within FineActs won the support of Greenpeace-Bulgaria and the Bulgarian environmental NGO, For the Earth. Tekova curated the exhibition “Non-places of utopia” at Sofia Press Gallery (April 23-May 4, 2018).
